* What is a DENIER?

A denier is the unit of measurement for the thickness of the thread used to make stockings and tights.

The lower the denier number (8, 10, 15, 20, etc.), the thinner and more transparent the stocking or panties. Conversely, the higher the number (40, 70, etc.), the thicker the fabric and the less visible the skin.

On the other hand, there are opaque microfiber tights and pantyhose in 50 and 100 denier where the skin is barely visible. Their use is common in autumn and winter.

Tights and pantyhose with a low denier count are typically used for the spring and summer season. The rest can be worn year-round, for example, for formal occasions, as their sheer size gives them a more elegant look.

High numbers, 40, 70..., are usually used for autumn-winter.
